Introduction to FSSC 22000 Certification
The Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000) scheme incorporates existing standards, including ISO 22000, PRPs, and HACCP. It offers a complete certification programmer, making it accessible for organizations across all sectors of the food supply chain.
 
FSSC 22000 is owned by an independent non-profit organization and is fully approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The scheme provides a certification model that can be used in the whole food supply chain. It can cover sectors where a technical specification for sector PRPs has been realized. The various categories covered under the scheme are farming of animals, food manufacturing, animal feed production, catering, retail & wholesale, transport and storage services, food packaging manufacturing, and production of biochemicals.
